Richard H. Weymouth, 91, Plainfield, died Wednesday, Sept.
7, 2016.


Interment and military rites will be held at the Plainfield
Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.


A celebration of his life will be held for family and
friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Bulls Eye Country Club in
Wisconsin Rapids.


Memorials may be designated for the Plainfield Lions Club or
Jeremiah’s Crossing in Babcock.


Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.ritchayfuneralhome.com.


Mr. Weymouth was born Feb. 5, 1925, at home on a small farm
west of Plainfield, a son of the late Fred and Vivian Weymouth. He graduated
early from high school so that he could enter the U.S. Marine Corps and serve
in World War II.


When he returned from his time in Hawaii, he was married to
Robertta Spees. She died in 1999.


He was married to Elizabeth (Webster) Spees in 2000.


As one of his earliest jobs, he ran a grain elevator in
western Wisconsin.He returned to the Plainfield area and ran a gas station.
Then he was hired as a janitor for Nepco Paper Company. He worked his way up
through the mill and eventually retired as vice president of marketing for
Great Northern Nekoosa Paper Company in 1988.


After retiring, he traveled the world. He took the military
Honor Flight to Washington D.C.


Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Pat” Weymouth; seven
children, Mike (Chris) Landowski, Richard (Jeanne) Weymouth, Mary (Larry)
Coleman, Andy (Marsha) Spees, Kirby (Sallie) Spees, Ed (Tammy) Spees and Nick (Carrie)
Spees; numerous grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ted and
George; and one sister, Anne.
