A lot can change in 30 years, but then again, much can stay the same.

For the past three decades, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP), in conjunction with more than 50 local businesses, has celebrated the Central Wisconsin agriculture industry by raising awareness about the importance of agriculture locally and funding scholarships for students from the area.

The fundraiser comes in the form of the annual Spud Bowl event, which this year will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Community Stadium at Goerke Park.
