Agnes F. Benaszeski

Agnes Frances Benaszeski, 88, Wausau, mother of a Bancroft woman, died at her home Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel in Weston, with the Rev. Greg Bohren officiating. Burial will be at St. Agnes Parish Cemetery in Weston.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the services.
As a memorial, she requested that the family purchase and donate educational materials for public schools which reflect her passion for reading and progressive union values.

Mrs. Benaszeski was born April 14, 1928,in Chicago, Ill., a
daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Falkowski) Nievinski.
She was married to Herman “Herby” Anthony BenaszeskiSept.
11, 1948. He died Dec. 26, 2009.
She farmed with her husband and their son, Dale, who now
runs the Farmers Market business, along with selling Christmas trees.
She helped launch the D.C. Everest High School oral history project,
helping local students find veterans from World War II and the Korean War to
interview for oral histories, as well as survivors of the Great Depression. The
students dedicated the Great Depression book to her for her efforts to preserve
local history.She also compiled scrapbooks for her children and grandchildren
and wrote a family history book.
She was the past president of the St. Agnes Ladies Council
and the Community Polish Alumni Club. She was a member of the W.W.E.R.
Clubhouse, and she helped organize the Ringle History Club and celebrated the centennial
in 2001.
Survivors include seven children, Linda (Merlyn
Burkard)Benaszeski, Algoma, Gary (Annette) Benaszeski, Ohio, Dale (Deb)
Benaszeski, Ringle, Jean (Walti) Reinhardt, Florida, Randy (Kristin)
Benaszeski, Ringle, Bonnie (Roy Martin)Benaszeski, Bancroft, and Bryan
(Elizabeth) Benaszeski, Ringle; two brothers, Ted (Alice) Nievinski, Mosinee,
and Leonard Nievinski, Hatley; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Angeline
Zoromski, Dorothy Nievinski and Leona Davidowski.
