Walk for Water helps reach half of goal; fourth annual event Sept. 17
The Makah Foundation, established by Stevens Point resident Sam Dinga, has reached more than half its goal of installing 40 pump wells to provide clean drinking water in Cameroon, Africa.
And there are more opportunities to help.
The fourth annual Walk for Water will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in Iverson Park, Stevens Point. Walkers may register onsite for $10 per adult and $5 per child under 12 years old.
