Raised Reckless Coming to Rookies Tent Event Sept. 24

By Brandi Makuski
Fans of Raised Reckless are in for a treat — the band returns to Rookies Sports Pub during the bar’s Sept. 24 Tent Event.
Rookies held the first-annual Tent Event four years ago, featuring Tuscan Road, and saw almost 1,000 music fans in attendance. Rookies owner Randy Woyak said this time around, local country favorite Raised Reckless will hit the stage.
“It’s the last outdoor concert of the summer, really,” Woyak said. “We hope to see another good turnout.”
Woyak said he’d like to offer the Tent Event on an annual basis as a way to close out the summer season, but the event stands largely on the availability of entertainment — and this year, he was able to secure Raised Reckless.
“We have a lot of fans who said we should bring back the Tent Event with Raised Reckless, so we listened to our customers,” Woyak said. “There are some bands we’ve reached out to, some I’d love to get, and if we got some of those, we’d do it again next year.”
Woyak said doors open at 4 PM, and the first 100 people will get to watch the band perform soundcheck. Food and drink will be available onsite.
The Tent Event will be held in the parking lot at Rookies, 3425 Church Street.
Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com and cost $5 in advance, $10 the day of the show.
