Duda is steady local volunteer for more than 17 years
As usual, I come away from interviewing Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers for these articles feeling amazed and humbled by the people I meet. Ruth Duda is no exception.
The 84-year-old has been an RSVP volunteer for 17-1/2 years and is still going strong.
As of June, she accumulated 3,872 hours as one of our volunteers. Most of her time is currently spent working at the Emergency Food Assistance Program located in back of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on Rice Street in Stevens Point.
A part of the USDA Food Pantry, the federally-funded program assists financially eligible Portage County residents.
