Flood Watch Becomes Warning

The National Weather Service has upgraded its flood alert to a warning — this one issued through 10:45 AM Thursday for Central Wisconsin.
The Flood Watch is still in effect through 7 PM.
According to ploverweather.com,more than three inches of rain has fallen in the area since Wednesday, already soaking local soil. The NWS says another one-to-two inches is possible Thursday morning.
Residents in low-lying areas in Stevens Point and Whiting, or conducting activity near waterways, should remain on high alert. Motorists should avoid flooded roadways.
