Fourth-ranked Almond-Bancroft falls at Wild Rose
With the lead in the Central Wisconsin Conference-10
(CWC-10) on the line, the Almond-Bancroft High School football team lost at Wild
Rose Friday, Sept. 16.
The fourth-ranked Eagles (4-1, 1-1) turned the ball over
three times in the first half and trailed 13-0 at halftime, while Wild Rose
(5-0, 2-0) added a touchdown in each of the final two quarters to pull away for
a 25-0 win.
“Offensively we weren’t very good, and it had to do with
their defense, to say the least,” said Almond-Bancroft football head coach
Andrew Bradley. “But our offense put our defense in really bad positions for
most of the night.
“And the first half was so tough with the field position, we
just couldn’t get any field position,” he said. “And that had a lot to do with
the offense and our inability to move the ball, and throw the ball and run the
ball.”
