Henry and Lorraine Tork recently celebrated their 70th anniversary with dinner at Michele’s Restaurant Wednesday, Sept. 14, and a reception held at their home with family and friends Saturday, Sept. 17.

The couple were married Sept. 14, 1946, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.

To further celebrate the couple’s marriage, the Rev. Todd Mlsna gave the couple a blessing at the convent with the Sisters of St. Joseph, then the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvansam officiated the anniversary liturgy and performed a marriage blessing at Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church Saturday, Sept. 17.

The couple are retired. He retired from the Stevens Point Water Department as a superintendent, and she worked for the Stevens Point Area Public School District.

The couple have two children, Judy Laska and Melvin (Carol) Tork; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
