Theresa Emily Cisewski, age 96, of Stevens Point, Wis., died on Monday, September 19, 2016, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.

Theresa was born June 25, 1920, in Franzen, Wis., to Michael and Mary (Goskowicz) Stroik. On November 11, 1939, Theresa married Eugene Cisewski at St. Joseph’s Church, Galloway, Wis., and were life-long partners for 68 years. Theresa and Eugene were long time members of St. Joseph Parish, Stevens Point.

Her interests included sewing, baking, cooking, gardening, traveling, and playing cards. She took extra pride and pleasure in having her home cared for and presentable for family or visitors at any time. Theresa was an avid Packer fan … GO PACK!

She was well known for her baking skills and particularly rhubarb pie and banana bread. She most loved gathering with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her hard work ethic, forgiveness, and strength. Her understanding of love, life, and faith leaves behind an inescapable desire to become a better person.

Theresa is survived by four children, Ken (Bonnie) Cisewski of Northport, Fla., Lynette (Gene) Breault of Maplewood, Minn., Nadine (Tom) Slowinski of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Debra (Charles) Stanke of Eau Claire, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, Sean (Victoria) Cisewski, Kelly (Scott) Benjamin, Tom (Sheila) Cisewski, Paul (Paige) Cisewski, Marnie (Robert) Bodoh, Lisa (Scott) Lynch, Benjamin (Kelly) Breault, Jason (Stephanie) Slowinski, Matt (Amanda) Slowinski, Angela (Rick) Funk, Ryan (Karrie) Stanke, and Nick Stanke; 25 great-grandchildren, Rochelle, Ashley, Sabra, Kane, Kota, Keagan, Makenzie, Madison, Matthew, Mark, Thomas James, Jr., Trenton, Nolan, Brooke, Lucas, Brendon, Brenna, Tessa, Taylor, Cooper, Francesca, Sophia, Clara, Graham, and Warren; two siblings, Sylvester Stroik and Laura Wolashek, caregiver, Monica Neuberger, and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene, one son, James “J.C.” (Karen survives) Cisewski, and five siblings: Verna Platta, Dominic Stroik, Frances Suchon, Ernest Stroik and Regina Groshek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday September 23, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second St., Stevens Point and again on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church.

Parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
