Panthers Compete at Appleton East

It was a rough day on the court for the SPASH Panthers who finished 1-4 at the Appleton East Invitational on Saturday.
The Panthers dropped matches to Appleton Xavier (25-18, 22-25, 10-15), Appleton East (11-25, 22-25), Homestead (18-25, 18-25), and Kettle Moraine (17-25, 13-25). The lone win for SPASH, who finished the day eighth out of 12 teams, came against Ashwaubenon (25-19, 25-17).
Madeleine Burch scored 29 kills, three block solos and nine block assists. Ally Miklesh recorded 52 assists and Sydney Salewske had 62 digs.
The Panthers return to Wisconsin Valley Conference play on Thursday when they travel to Merrill. First serve is schedule for 7:00 PM.
SPASH will then return home to face Chippewa Falls October 4 and D.C. Everest October 6 at the SPASH fieldhouse. Both games are 7:00 PM starts.
