Richard R. ‘Dick’ Krueger
Richard Robert “Dick” Krueger, 65, a former Stevens Point resident and brother of a Plover man, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at his home in Conroe, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, in Cashner Colonial Chapel in Conroe, Texas. Burial will be in Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.
Mr. Krueger was born Sept. 20, 1951, in La Crosse, a son of
the late Robert Henry and Patricia Ruth (Lentz) Krueger. He graduated from P.J.
Jacobs High School in Stevens Point.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point and took a coaching and teaching job in Conroe, Texas.
He was married to Debbie Cashner in 1978.
He left coaching to work in his wife’s family’s business
after her father died and was a fundamental part of the formation of Cashner
He was a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association, the
International Cemetery and Funeral Association and the Evening Lions Club and a
lifetime member of MCFA.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Krueger; two daughters,
Shellee Coley and Sarah Krueger; one son, Keath (Alison) Krueger; two sisters,
Sharon (David) Moscinski and Debbie (Ken) Beamish; two brothers, Dan (Donna)
Krueger and Doug (Eve) Krueger, Plover; and four grandchildren.
