P.J.’s Frosh Team Suffers First Loss of Season

Excitement was in the air at Goerke Field on Thursday afternoon when the undefeated P.J. Jacobs ninth grade freshmen football team took the field.
But it was short-lived.
Game play was back and forth in the high-scoring game between the P.J.’s Patriots and Amherst, with Patriots in the lead 20-14 at the half.
In the third quarter, Amherst outscored the Patriots, three touchdowns to two.
The game ended 32-36 in favor of Amherst. P.J.’s last home game is Tuesday, Oct 11, at Goerke Field. Kickoff is at 6 PM.
