Find fall fun in pumpkin patches, corn mazes

Blink too long and the first-graders scattered throughout the farm, tossing hay in the air, climbing through tunnels, hand-pumping water and feeding goats, not to mention climbing through windows as parents and teachers attempted to keep the classes on task.
Suffice it to say fun flew in every direction – along with the squeals of new discoveries – before Harold Altenburg’s words rose above to corral the students onto hay wagons for a ride into the pumpkin patch.
