LETTER: Lassa Has Local Values

To the Editor-
This is a letter asking you to vote for Julie Lassa for State Senate.
Julie was born and raised in Portage County on her parent’s farm north of Stevens Point. She attended Madison Elementary, P.J. Jacobs and SPASH, where I got to know her as well as her brother and sister.
She graduated from the UWSP with a degree in political science and public administration. She worked for the Plover Area Business Association until she was elected to the Assembly. A few years later, she was elected as our State Senator.
Julie has lived her whole life in Portage County and understands the issue of importance to residents.
I encourage you to vote for Julie as she supports those ideals which are important to us: increased support of our K-12 public schools, increased funding to our public colleges, increased support to start-up business ventures, increased investment in our infrastructure, including transportation, preserving our environment, especially groundwater, and allowing our state to accept federal Medicaid funding to provide better health care access for more of our working families.
I think that Julie Lassa has run a remarkably positive campaign as compared to her opponent – and for that reason alone she deserves our vote.
Please join me in voting for Julie Lassa for State Senate this November.
