Thursday’s afternoon football game against Wausau West’s Warriors was no match for Ben Franklin’s Chargers.

The afternoon chill set the stage for Ben Franklin to charge up and down the field with scoring drives and shutting down the Wausau West offense. Although West scored first, that was all they could put on the board for the remainder of the game.

The rest of the match up was easily managed by the Chargers, scoring all their points in the first three quarters.

Charger fans cheered as their team easily completed two-point conversions, a kick-off return for a TD and even a few fumble recoveries.

Coach Dan Gagnon said he was proud of the whole team, stating, “all 23 guys played a key role in our success.”

Ben Franklin’s last game is at Goerke Field on Tuesday, Oct 11, against rival P.J. Jacobs. Kickoff is at 6 PM.
