Oct. 7

Disorderly Teenager: A 14-year-old boy was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident with a 15-year-old boy at a school on the 2400 block of Main St. at 11:05 AM.

Fleet Farm Thief: A 31-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft at the Hwy. 10 Fleet Farm store. Among the items taken were a $65 Under Armor sweatshirt and a pair of camouflage pants costing $33.

Just Havin’ Some Drinks: A worried caller reported concern for a 55-year-old man and his 54-year-old wife on the 5300 block of Harding Ave. at 12:10 AM. When police conducted a welfare check, they discovered the couple was simply intoxicated.

Looking For Ghosts? Police responded to a Water St. cemetery after seeing flashlights at 12:47 AM. A group of juveniles was warned for being in the cemetery after operating hours.

OWI: Police arrested a 22-year-old woman for her first OWI offense during a traffic stop near First and Portage streets at 1:59 AM.

Keep Your Hands To Yourself: Police responded to the 1600 block of College Ave. at 2:10 AM in response to a report of loud and abusivne arguing at a residence there. The incident involved two 21-year-old men and two women, 20 and 21. According to witnesses, a window and screen were broken after one of the men lifted a woman’s shirt, exposing her breasts. One man was arrested and another was cited.

Late Night Pedestrian: Deputies encountered a 20-year-old man walking on the side of the 3200 block of Main St. at 3:30 AM. They offered the man a ride home.

Possible Pirates: A 56-year-old woman called deputies to report she’d heard what sounds like cannon fire on the 2900 block of County Trunk Y at 6:13 PM. Deputies were unable to locate the source.

Home Assault: A 69-year-old man reported an unknown man assaulted him at his home on the 2900 block of College Ave. at 7 PM.

Second OWI: Police arrested a 25-year-old man at North Point Dr. and Prentice St. North at 9:36 PM for his second OWI offense.

Turn It Down: A 21-year-old man was cited for permitting excessive noise at his residence on the 2300 block of College Ave. at 11:33 PM.

Oct. 8

Sex Assault: The assault of a 19-year-old woman was reported at 2:40 AM.

Disturbance: Police responded to a fight between a 21-year-old woman and 19-year-old man on the 2100 block of Church St. at 12:18 PM.

Vandalism: Two boys, 15 and 16, are suspected of vandalism during the Pacelli Homecoming Dance. The report was made at 9 PM; details were not available in the police blotter.

Graffiti: A 19-year-old man was cited for causing damage to property inside a tavern on the 1200 block of Main St. at 11:48 PM.

Drive-By Egging: A 37-year-old man called police at 3 PM to report an unknown person hit his vehicle from behind with eggs on the 400 block of Fifth Ave.

Oct. 9

Disorderly Conduct: A caller reported a domestic disturbance on the 1300 block of Second St. between two men, 26 and 33, at 1 AM.

Eventful Traffic Stop: Following a 2:36 AM traffic stop at Clark and Ellis streets, police arrested a 31-year-old woman on an active warrant, bail-jumping, second-offense OWI, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while revoked; a 38-year-old man in the vehicle was also arrested on a probation violation.

Mailbox Fatality: A 57-year-old man reported at 5:03 PM someone had damaged the mailbox at his Granite Ridge Rd. home. Estimated value of damage is $25.

Failure to Yield: A 23-year-old woman was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign after a two-vehicle crash at Michigan Ave. and Heffrom St. at 7:34 AM.

Oct. 10

Facebook Pervert: A 44-year-old man called deputies to report someone on Facebook requested a video of a sexual act, then threatened to post said video on social media if the man didn’t pay money.

Harassing Texts: A 21-year-old woman called police to report harassing text messages from a 30-year-old man at 2:06 PM. Police advised the woman to obtain a restraining order.

Mom’s In The Car: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Hwy. 10 Taco Bell at 12:59 AM. The driver turned out to be the mother of a restaurant employee who was waiting for him to finish his shift.

Runaway: Police initiated a traffic stop near Park a Division streets at 1:19 AM and located a juvenile runaway in the vehicle, along with two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old. The runaway was taken into custody by the officer.

Domestic Abuse: Police were called to a home on the 4500 block of Terrace Ln. at 11:42 AM after a caller reported a domestic abuse incident involving a 24-year-old male suspect and a 48-year-old woman.

Inattentive Driver: A 21-year-old man was cited for inattentive driving after a crashing his car on the 2100 block of Ellis St. at 5:19 PM.

Bad Dog: Police responded to the 900 block of Main St. when a caller there reported a 21-year-old man had been bitten by a white pit bull at 8:45 PM. The extent of the man’s injuries was not immediately available.
