Effie B. Krueger, 85, Waupaca, mother of an Amherst woman, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with the Rev. Amalraj Roche officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the service.

Mrs. Krueger was born April 22, 1931, in the town of Fence in Florence County, a daughter of the late George and Maude (Moore) Severson.

She was married to Allan F. Krueger Dec. 23, 1948, in Manawa. They were married for 59 years until his death June 11, 2008.

Survivors include four children, Michael (Laurie) Krueger, Marsha Ziebell and Mark Krueger, all of Waupaca, and Linda (Dale) Matheson, Amherst; a special niece, Karen Jensen, Belton, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Krueger; two brothers, Carl Severson and James Severson; and five sisters, Emma Buch, Ella Hall, Florence Rendall, Dolores Ray, and Edna Speer.
