Russell D. Finnessey
Russell D. Finnessey, 74, town of Grant (Wisconsin Rapids), a former Kellner bar owner, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with Deacon Jerry Ruesch officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. Monday until the services.

Mr. Finnessey was born March 7, 1942, in Milwaukee, a son of
the late Anna Finnessey. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens
Point.
He was married to Diane E. Worzalla Nov. 27, 1965, at St.
Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Together they owned and operated Russ and Diane’s bar in Kellner
for more than 20 years. He later worked as a woodworker and craftsman.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Diane; one daughter,
Tammy (Matt Oleson) Finnessey; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Jacob Fiegel.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Delores Whitman;
and one uncle, Daniel Stoltz, who was like a father figure to him.
