Hospital will add $4 million Breast Care Center

Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point will construct a $4 million Breast Care Center to help ensure that every woman receives an annual screening.
A fund drive for the center was publicly announced Sunday, Oct. 9, before the Hope Starts Here 5K Walk at Pfiffner Pioneer Park by the Hope Is Building campaign co-chairs, Joe Kinsella and Steve Hodgson. Their wives and families also serve as co-chairs.
The pair announced that pledges and donations total $2,412,160 of the goal for the center, which will be housed in the space formerly occupied by the Family Medicine Department on the first floor of the west side of the hospital, adjacent to the Pediatrics Department.
