Jack G. Huff

Jack G. Huff, 86, Custer, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at the
Portage County Health Care Center.
Private funeral services will be held.
A memorial in his name has been set up at St. Mary’s
Immaculate Conception for the CCD Center.

Mr. Huff was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the
late John and Sophie (Lehman) Huff. The family moved to Custer in 1946.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in both Korea and
Vietnam. He retired from the service in 1971 as a command sergeant major.
He was married to Romona Worzalla in 1953 in Blenker.
He worked at Cash and Carry and Wolohans in Plover and
retired from Hamel Forest Products.
Survivors include his wife, Romona; five children, Pamela
(James) Meshak, Denise Zimmerman, Scott Huff, Lawrence (Jennifer) Huff and
Wendy (Thomas) Feltz; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry; and two
brothers, Kenneth and Dennis.
