Marie A. Hamm, 94, a town of Carson native, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Cranberry Court Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 20, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Valentine Joseph officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.

Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 11 a.m. Thursday until the services.

Memorials may be designated to Our Lady Queen of Heaven
Catholic Church.

Mrs. Hamm was born March 3, 1922, in the town of Carson in
Portage County, the fourth of 10 children of the late Anthony and Anna
(Joosten) Johnson.

She was married to Donald Hamm June 21, 1947, at St. Philip
Catholic Church in Rudolph. They were married 53 years until his death in March
2001.

She was active in many areas of Our Lady Queen of Heaven
Catholic Church as a charter member of the parish, such as St. Mary’s Womens
Club and was a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher for several years.

Survivors include seven children, Janet Ermilio, Wisconsin
Rapids, James (Linda) Hamm, Wisconsin Rapids, Jerry (Gloria) Hamm, Neillsville,
John (Sue) Hamm, Rudolph, Joani (Michael) Peterson, Libby, MT, Jane (Alan)
Bauer, Waupaca, and Al (Bonnie) Hamm; three siblings, Lois Bathke, Jane Johnson
and Jerry (Darlene) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph; and six
siblings, Harry Johnson, Earl Johnson, Clayton Johnson, Millie Steege, Hazel
Kampschoer and Armelda Koller.
