Janet L. Laskowski, 64, from Stevens Point, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2016 at her cottage where she liked to go for peace, relaxation, and to watch Mother Nature.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at Saint Casimir’s Catholic Church of Stevens Point, with the Reverend Arul Joseph V. officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. and Mass at 10:30 A.M.

Rosary will be said for Janet at 10:00 A.M. prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established later in Janet’s name. Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Condolences can be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.

Janet was born on October 31, 1951 in the Town of Hull, Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Chester and J. Margaret Buza. Janet is survived by an older sister, Rosemarie Furo.

Janet attended Madison Elementary and was a graduate of Maria High School. She also attended Mid-State Technical where she acquired two associate degrees. She was employed at Bank One, the courthouse, and later worked as a business manager for 27 years at Portage County Health Care Center.

In 1971 Janet married John H. Laskowski Jr. They were happily married for 45 years and had only one son, Chad, which she adored. She loved to go to the cottage to fish and enjoy here flower beds and wildlife. She was a caregiver for her mom and dad for many years until their passing. She was an avid gardener and loved her flower beds. Janet was a very dedicated woman to her family and friends, and was always thinking of others.

Janet adored her pets, and they helped her cope through her struggles with chronic health conditions. For 14 years, she enjoyed the company of a short hair pointer named Master Weatherby. After the passing of Master Weatherby, she took comfort in the company of a springer spaniel named Diamond, who brought much joy and comfort to Janet over the past two years.

Janet was a very caring and loving individual with a sense of humor that always made you laugh. She always enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Family was a very important part of her life; she always listened, gave advice and helped others. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and animals.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Chester and J. Margaret Buza.

Survivors are her husband, John Laskowski Jr., her only son Chad Laskowski, her sister Rosemarie Furo, and many nieces and nephews.
