Roger Dean Mound, Plover, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.


Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29,
at Celebrations Church, 4701 Industrial Park Road, Stevens Point.


Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
29, until the services. Refreshments will follow the service.


Pisarski Funeral Homes and Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at
www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.


Mr. Mound was born Jan. 14, 1945, a son of the late Keith
and Pearl Gladys (Luers) Mound of Keota, Iowa. He attended Keota High School.


He joined the U.S. Army Reserves Engineering Unit in
Washington, Iowa, after graduation.


He worked for Powell Furniture in Wellman, Iowa, prior to
moving to Des Moines, Iowa, where he worked for Onthank Furniture. In 1973, he
and his family moved to Lakeville, Minn., where he was employed by Gephart Furniture.
He was an active member of the Lakeville Lions Club and the Minnesota MG Club.


He began a furniture restoration business in the 1980s, and
in the mid-1990s he became a certified massage therapist and started
Therapeutic Massage Techniques in Plover, where he served many clients in
addition to traveling to the Twin Cities weekly to service customers at the city
of St. Paul, the St. Paul Fire Department and other clients from his St. Paul
office. He also owned the Curves in Plover with his wife, Nan, for several
years.


He was an active member of Celebration Church in Stevens
Point.


Survivors include his wife, Nan La Chapelle; sons, Thomas
Roger (Melissa) and William Keith of Minneapolis, Minn., Brad Babcock, Ryan La
Chapelle, Tacia Babcock and Rebecca Kruger; and several nieces and nephews.
