Edwin C. Kalke, 71, Racine, a Stevens Point native and
emeritus professor at Carthage College, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at the
Hospice Alliance House in Pleasant Prairie.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
29, at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home in Racine.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Saturday
until the service.

Donations may be made to RAM, Artists Gallery, Habitat Restore
or the ALS Society.

Condolences may be offered online at www.meredithfuneralhome.com.

Mr. Kalke was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Stevens Point, a son of
the late William C. and Doris G. (Kinney) Kalke.

He attended the Wisconsin State University at Stevens Point
(now the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point).

He served as a medic in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1970
in Korea.

He was married to Paula Okray Aug. 10, 1974, in Stevens
Point.

He was an art professor at Carthage College in Kenosha. He
retired in 2005 after 28 years. His art work has been exhibited regionally and
nationally and can be found in many public and private collections.

He worked with Habitat Restore.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Paula; one sister,
Bonnie (Erick) Bullion, Winchester; one brother, William Kalke, Watham, Mass.;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary (Algis) Seskus, Australia, Barbara
Hall, Tucson, Ariz., and Walter (Joan) Okray, Thomas Okray, Phillip (Vicki)
Okray, all of Stevens Point.

He was also preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Kay
Kalke.
