Sex Offender Convicted of Child Porn

A 36-year-old Rosholt man was convicted in Portage Co. Court Monday on three counts of possession of child pornography.
Anthony Forshee was busted after a tip from Google and was originally charged with 21 counts of child porn possession, but 18 were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators were able to link Forshee to a mobile phone and IP address that sent an image of child pornography. A search of Forshee’s apartment turned up eight DVDs with images and videos of child porn on them, which Forshee told investigators he thought he had disposed of.
Forshee has previously been convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a six-year-old child. He served six years in prison and was released in March 2011.
Each count carries a maximum punishment of 25 years in prison. Forshee returns to court for sentencing on Feb. 17.
