Evelyn B. “Nana” Shilka, 92, Stevens Point, died Friday, Oct.
21, 2016, after a short illness.


A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at
St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek, with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.


Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.


A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.


Pisarski Funeral Homes and Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at
www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.


Mrs. Shilka was born Oct. 5, 1924, a daughter of the late
Mary (Zakoski) and Joseph Kitowski.


She was married to Peter P. Shilka Oct. 28, 1944. He died Feb.
13, 1989.


They took over the family farm, which they operated until
1967. In addition, she worked at Skalski Supply Company and then Sentry
Insurance until 1989.


She was active in her church and was a member of the choir.


Survivors include one son, James (Marie) Shilka, De Pere; two
sisters-in-law, MaryAnn (Ray) Zimmerman, Mosinee, and Elaine Pascavis, Florida;
three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alice
Brostowitz and Florence Dahlman.
