Speech features local efforts for Polish National Army
The author of “Haller’s Polish Army in France” will talk about Stevens Point serving as a recruiting center in a presentation about the Polish National Army during World War I at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Pinery Room of the Portage County Public Library, 1001 Main St., Stevens Point.
The Portage County Historical Society, the Polish Heritage Awareness Society, the Polish Heritage Society of Portage County and the Polish Legion of American Veterans John Paul II Post 185 will co-sponsor the event. Admission is free.
