Students in the Stevens Point Area Public School District on Friday begin a four-day weekend.

Motorists should watch out for young pedestrians on local roadways.

There is no public school on Oct. 28 due to a teacher work day. Due to what’s called an “institute day”, there is also no school on Monday, Oct. 31.

Pacelli Catholic School students also have no school on Oct. 31 due to a teacher in-service day.
