Robert E. Turzinski
Robert E. “Bobby T” Turzinski, 68, Wisconsin Rapids, a Stevens Point native, died at home Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover, with the Rev. Dale Grubba officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Plover Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and again from 9 a.m. Monday until the services.

Mr. Turzinski was born Sept. 27, 1948, in Stevens Point, a
son of the late Irene Turzinski.
He was a 1966 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Feb. 26, 1969, and served one
tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged Feb. 22, 1971.
He was married to Rita Rutta March 12, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nev.
The couple resided in Wisconsin Rapids.
He worked at Ruan Transport for 23 years and retired in
2005. In 2001, he received the two million-mile safety award for outstanding
performance as a professional driver.
He started racing stock cars at the age of 15 at Golden
Sands Speedway in Plover and continued his racing career for many years throughout
Wisconsin. He won the track championship at Golden Sands Speedway in 1996.

(Ashley) Turzinski, Reedsburg; two stepchildren, Jesse Steinhoff, Sparta, and
Garrett Raatz, Plover; one brother, James (Diane) Turzinski; one sister, Linda
(Robert) Pallen, Custer; three grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald
Turzinski; one sister, Delores Miller; and one son, Zachary.
