Plover Firefighter Ken Collins visits with trick-or-treaters on Oct. 31.
Star Wars characters “Rey” — Katie Angell, 7, — and a young storm trooper — her brother, four-year-old Adam — and Isaac Firkus — a football official — were trick-or-treating in the area of McDill Elementary at around 6:30 PM.
Collins was with fellow firefighters Casey Kiehl and Lt. Matt Schoonover (off camera), as the trio handed out candy to neighborhood kids through on Monday.
The group was from Plover Fire Station No. 2, located inside the Village of Whiting. Firefighters station themselves at various locations every Halloween as a way to interact with the community and promote safety.
