Edward A. Heise, 85, Wausau, brother of a Stevens Point
woman, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at his home while under the care of Aspirus
Comfort Care and Hospice Services.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5,
at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schofield, with the Rev. Jeffrey P.
Mahnke officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in the town of
Rib Falls in Marathon County.


Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday
until the services.


A memorial will be established in his name.


Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau was in charge of
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.petersonkraemer.com.


Mr. Heise was born Nov. 5, 1930, in Rib Falls, a son of the
late Elgart and Selma (Weith) Heise. He graduated from Edgar High in 1948.


He was married to Edith Draeger June 9, 1956, at St. Stephen
Lutheran Church in Edgar. She died Oct. 11, 2011.


He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.


After his discharge, he started a construction business in
the Wausau area. He worked as a field service representative for Crestline
Corp. and American Medical Buildings in Madison and then as a construction
superintendent for firms in Madison and Dubuque, Iowa. He also received a real estate
broker’s license and had his own firm of Quality Builders and Realty in
Platteville.


He served as a district representative for Aid Associations
for Lutherans in Mauston and Platteville. He and his wife owned and operated an
antique and craft store in Wisconsin Dells for several years.


He served as president, secretary/treasurer and council
member in many of the churches he was a member of.


Survivors include three children, Suzanne (Frank) Davis,
Albany, Ore., Eileen (Randy) Loew, Wausau, and Evan (Anne) Heise, La Crosse;
one sister, Jean Fandre, Stevens Point; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren;
and many great-grandchildren.
