Kevin W. Koester, 69, Weston, father of a Stevens Point man, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, due to complications from cancer while under the care of Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Aniwa at a later date.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Monday until the services.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a donation to
the Aspirus Regional Cancer Center and Aspirus Hospice House.

Condolences may be offered online at www.brainardfuneral.com.

Mr. Koester was born March 6, 1947, in Neenah, a son of the
late Leona and Gene Popp. He graduated from Neenah High School in 1965.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1966. He was honorably
discharged.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Melissa) Koester, Wausau,
and Kody Koester, Stevens Point; two daughters, Deb (Jason) Foster and Marit
(Mark) Stumpner, both of Wausau; three brothers, George, Mike and Glen Popp,
all of Wausau; two sisters, Micki (Jeff) Burnett and Jackie (Tom) Williams,
both of Wausau; and seven grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Raymond
Koester.
