Verdilla ‘Judy’ Dohr

Verdilla “Judy” Dohr, 93, Appleton, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Willow Brooke Point Senior Living in Stevens Point while under the care of Ministry Hospice.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton, with the Rev. Gerald R. Falk officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass.

Her wish was that Masses be offered for the Wagner and Dohr
families.

Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home in Appleton assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.wichmannfargo.com.

Mrs. Dohr was born June 2, 1923, in Westfield, a daughter of
the late Frank and Laurel (Smith) Wagner. She graduated from Randolph High
School.

She moved to Milwaukee following graduation.

She was married to Carl J. Dohr May 29, 1948, at St. John
Cathedral in Milwaukee. He died June 7, 2014.

Following his retirement, they moved to Ridgeview Highlands in
Appleton in 2000.

Survivors include three children, Pat (Ed) Whitman, Stevens
Point, Nancy Dohr (special friend, Jim Schulte) and Jerry (Chris Metrie) Dohr; one
sister, Marilyn Wanta; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, June
Framburger and Shirley Ptak.
