John D. “JD” Wodlarski, 63, Stevens Point, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

An informal celebration of life, along with a pot luck supper, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Highland Church, 700 Hoover Ave., Plover. Guests are asked to bring a dish or dessert to pass if they are able.

Mr. Wodlarski was born Feb. 7, 1953, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, a son to the late Frank and Mary (Wieczorek) Wodlarski.

They lived in rural Plover and he attended Roosevelt School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

He worked various jobs, but experienced a life-changing motor vehicle accident in 1976 and suffered a severe head injury that left him battling seizures with medication and surgery for the rest of his life.

He often said the accident brought him closer to his religious beliefs.

Survivors include three sisters, Monica (Ed) Sybeldon, Betty (Don) Moerke, and Pat (Gene) Boyko; nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Donna Perzewski.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Jim; and one sister Kathy.
