Russell G. Riddel, 69, Stevens Point,
died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016,
at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.


Per his wishes, private family services were held.


Donations may be sent in his name to the Humane Society of
Portage County or Wausau Humane Society.


The Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online atwww.pisarskifuneralhome.com.


Mr. Riddel was born Aug.
11, 1947
, in Minneapolis, Minn.,
a son of the late Arnold and Eleanor (Grant) Riddel. He attended St.
Francis High School
and graduated from St. Cloud State
University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in accounting.


He served as private first class for the U.S. Army from 1969
to 1971, stationed in Fort Lee, Va.
He received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the
Sharpshooter Badge.


Starting in 1979, he worked as a manager of dealer service
and credit for DeKalb Genetics Corporation, which later became Monsanto Company,
retiring in 2002.


Survivors include one daughter, Danelle (Damon)Boyd,
Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Nic Riddel, Sycamore, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Natalie
(Ben) Manning, Sycamore, Ill.;one stepson, Greg Roliardi, Tempe, Ariz.; one
brother, Clyde (Marlye) Riddel, Andover, Minn.; one sister, Vickie (Bob)Scopel,
Huntington Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by one brother, Roger; and two
wives, Cheryl and Johanna.
