Muriel Kubacki-Fix

Muriel Kubacki-Fix, 93, Wisconsin Rapids, a Junction City native and stepmother of several area residents, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at the Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids in Wisconsin Rapids.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, with the Rev. John Swing officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Nekoosa.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home (formerly Higgins) in
Wisconsin Rapids assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online
at www.HonorOne.com.

Mrs. Kubacki Fix was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Junction City, a
daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Wayerski) Piekarski.

She was married to Steve Kubacki Feb. 14, 1942. He died Jan.
25, 1979.

She was married to George Fix June 15, 1984, in Stevens
Point. He died March 28, 1995.

Survivors include two children, Steve (Sandra) Kubacki,
Pittsville, and Darlene (Hank) Kniprath, Nekoosa; five stepsons, Gary, Don,
Rick, Chris and Greg Fix; five stepdaughters, Sandy Winecki, Dianne Houlihan,
Joanne Houlihan, Carol Chesbro and Marilyn Weir; two sisters, Carol Alft and
Janice (Don) Ryman; one brother, George (Shirley) Piekarski; four
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one stepson and infant
siblings.
