Margaret ‘Rita’ Raschka

Margaret “Rita” Raschka, 71, Stevens Point, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at her home while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Parish in Custer, with the Rev. Roy Witucki officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, with the St. Mary’s Altar Society, of which she was a member, leading a rosary in her honor at 7 p.m. Sunday, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass.

Mrs. Raschka was born April 29, 1945 in Edinburgh, Scotland,
a daughter of the late John and Ann (Tinsley) Kane.

She was married to Chester Raschka, whom she met in England
while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force, Sept. 25, 1965, in Bedford,
England.

In the fall of 1965, they settled at their current address
in the town of Stockton. She became a U.S. citizen in 1998.

She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Chester Raschka
Sr.; four children; Chester Raschka Jr., Stevens Point, Mary (Arron)
Pulchinski, Custer, John (Bonnie) Raschka, Stevens Point, and Tracy Raschka,
Stevens Point; four siblings: Ann, Ronnie, Patricia and Eileen; and seven grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Wayne; and one
daughter, Diane.
