Lucille R. Jackan

Lucille R. “Tootie” Jackan, 89, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of
a Junction City woman, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Our House Assisted Living
in Wisconsin Rapids.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18,
at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in the town of Sigel, with the Rev. Robert
Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Parish Cemetery in Wisconsin
Rapids.
Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin
Rapids from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday
until the Mass.

Mrs. Jackan was born at home March 8, 1927, in the town of
Sherry in Wood County, a daughter of the late Emil and Marion (Brandl) Bertram.
She graduated in 1944 from Rudolph High School.
She was married to George R. Jackan Jan. 26, 1946, at Holy
Rosary Church. He preceded her in death.
She was employed by WFHR radio before her marriage and then
with the Wisconsin Rapids Public School System as a baker and cook at West
Junior High.
Survivors include five children, Jeanie (Wally) Flaig,
Junction City, Julie (Dennis) Plawman, Vesper, and Jim (Pat) Jackan, Nancy
(Chet) Homann and Janis (John) Thomas, all of Wisconsin Rapids; three sisters,
Laura Neinfeldt, Mary Ann (George) Armagost and Elaine Bushmaker; 12
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Harold
Bertram; and one sister, Joyce Radtke.
