YMCA’s ‘Frostbite 41’ Coming Dec. 3

The Stevens Point Area YMCA is hosting its annual Frostbite Road Road on Dec. 3.
The 41st annual race includes a five-mile walk, five-mile race or 10-mile race.
The purpose of the Frostbite Road Race & Winter Walk, according to a news release from the YMCA, is to offer a “unique experience in the ‘off season’, to enjoy camaraderie, good health and help support the YMCA”.
The route has remain unchanged for the past six years, and will take participants along Prentice St., Fourth Ave., Second St., Bukolt Ave., Front St., Northpoint Dr., Old Wausau Rd., Casimir Rd. and Franklin Street.
Registration and set-up will begin Friday, Dec. 2. Entry is $25 per person, for $22 per person for three or more participants from the same family. All participants who register before Nov. 21 will receive a souvenir long-sleeved shirt. Refreshments and locker room facilities will also be on site.
