Mary Lou Sroda

Mary Lou Sroda, 79, Green Bay, a Stevens Point native, died
Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, after a battle with brain cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
Nov. 25, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Green Bay, with the Rev. John H.
Harper officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.

Mrs. Sroda was born June 5, 1937, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Lawrence and Neva (Henze) Davis.
She graduated from Central State Teachers College in Stevens
Point with a degree in home economics.
She was married to LeRoy Sroda June 25, 1960, at St.
Stanislaus Church in Stevens Point.
She taught in Rudolph and Algoma before beginning their
family.
She volunteered at Cormier Elementary School and was active
in the Lioness Club assisting with charitable events.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, LeRoy; three
children, Rick (Connie) Washington, Mike (Mari) Sroda, Janesville, and Jill
(David) Giesler, Ashwaubenon; one brother, Jim Davis; nine grandchildren; and
one great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Jack
Davis; and one sister, Betty McDermott.
