Evelyn A. Opperman, 87, Stevens Point, died at home Monday,
Nov. 21, 2016.

The family will gather for a memorial Friday, Dec. 16.

Mrs. Opperman was born May 9, 1929, a daughter of the late
Chris and Anna (Dorger) Landowski. She grew up in Stevens Point and attended
McDill Elementary School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

She was married to Gilbert Opperman May 31, 1947, at St.
Stephen Church. He died Nov. 26, 2000.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Acorn Manufacturing until
retiring after 25 years.

After retirement, she volunteered at the Minocqua Historical
Museum.

Survivors include four children, Thomas (Lu) Opperman,
Daniel (Nelia Sanchez) Opperman, James (Beverly) Opperman and Patricia
(Gregory) Viergutz; one brother, Jerry (Phyllis) Landowski; one brother-in-law,
John Lewis; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by daughter in law, Beverly;
one sister, Dorothy; and one infant brother, Robert.
