Roger N. Glodowski, 69
Roger N. Glodowski, 69, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2016 at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wis.
Roger was born September 28, 1947 in Stevens Point to the late Edmund and Jean (Pezewski) Glodowski. He attended P.J. Jacobs High School, and after high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served from August 1966 to August of 1972 and reached the rank of sergeant.
His marriage to Marlene Garski took place on August 7, 1971 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point where he was employed at Joerns, Bake Rite, Consolidated Papers and Trapp Brothers where he retired from in 2003. He also volunteered at Cassian Fire Department.
After retirement the couple moved up to the north woods for him to be on the Willow Flowage. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the Green Bay Packers, hunting, fishing, his grandchildren, and going to Canada with “the boys”.
Survivors include his wife Marlene of Minocqua, sons Cory (Marie) Glodowski, Stevens Point; Jason (Tracy) Glodowski, Minocqua; his daughter Tracy Glodowski, Minocqua; brother Ronald (Eileen) Glodowski Stevens Point; sisters Patsy (Tony) Hirzy Stevens Point; Rosie (Don) Glodowski Stevens Point; Kathy Butler, Custer; Carol Lloyd, Custer; sister-in-law Monica (Donald) Moscinski, Junction City; brothers-in-law Ron (Carol) Garski, Jacksonville, Fla.; Richard Garski, Plover; Fred (Joan) Garski, Stevens Point; and all his nieces, nephews, 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Minfred; brothers Russell, Harlan, Larry; brothers-in-law Jim Butler and Dale Lloyd, and sister-in-law Rita.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Rd. in Plover.
Visitation is on Wednesday from 9 AM until time of service. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will officiate.
Full military honors will follow the service at the funeral home.
