Susan “Susie” Eberhard

Susan “Susie” Eberhard, 58, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital after a six-year battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Holy Spirit Parish, with the Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.
Memorials may be made to the Kenny Eberhard Vocational
Rehabilitation Scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout).

Mrs. Eberhard was born Dec. 19, 1957, in Stevens Point, a daughter
of the late Robert and Carol (Sauter) Adamski. She graduated from Pacelli High
School in 1976.
She earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree at UW-Stout. She earned a doctorate in rehabilitation psychology from UW-Madison.
She worked in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for
the State of Wisconsin before becoming a professor at UW-Stout. Sue was the department
chair of Vocational Rehabilitation and Counseling at UW-Stout until her
retirement in 2013 due to health reasons.
She was married to Kent Eberhard April 25, 1987, at St.
Stanislaus Catholic Church.
She was an advocate for those with cognitive and physical
disabilities.
Survivors include her husband, Kent, Stevens Point; one daughter,
Veronica, Stevens Point; two sisters, Ginny Adamski-Jacobs, Minneapolis, Minn.,
and Louise (Terry) Landowski, Plover; nieces; and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenny; and one
sister, Mary Beth Headrick.
