Susan “Susie” Eberhard age 58, of Stevens Point passed away Wednesday morning November 23, 2016 at St. Michaels Hospital after a courageous six-year-battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Susie will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at Holy Spirit Parish with the Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 9:30 AM Tuesday until the time of service at the church. Shuda Funeral Services are honored to assist the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kenny Eberhard Vocational Rehabilitation Scholarship at UW-Stout.

Susie was born December 19, 1957 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Robert and Carol (Sauter) Adamski. She graduated from Pacelli High School in 1976.

Susie earned her Bachelor Degree and Master Degree at UW- Stout. She earned her Doctorate in Rehabilitation Psychology from UW-Madison.

She worked in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of Wisconsin before becoming a professor at UW-Stout. Susie was the Department Chair of Vocational Rehabilitation and Counseling at UW-Stout until her retirement in 2013 due to health reasons.

Susie married Kent Eberhard on April 25, 1987 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She was a strong advocate for those with cognitive and physical disabilities.

She is survived by her husband Kent and their daughter Veronica, both of Stevens Point. Two sisters: Ginny Adamski-Jacobs, Minneapolis, and Louise (Terry) Landowski, Plover. Nieces and nephews: Betsy and Carolyn Headrick; Hilary, Vincent, and Valerie Landowski; Zachary Jacobs; Samantha Higgenbothum; Travers, Todd and T.J. Zdzieblowski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Beth Headrick, and her son Kenny on April 12, 2016.
