Eleanore C. Mikich, 100, a Stevens Point native formerly of
Wausau and Eagle River, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at the Wisconsin Veterans
Home at King. She celebrated her 100th birthday this past spring.


A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at
St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Holy Spirit Parish, with the Rev. Tom Lindner
presiding. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.


Visitation will be at the church from noon Saturday until
the Mass.


Memorials may be made to Wisconsin Veterans Home-King,
Stordock Hall or Heartland Hospice.


Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.bostonfuneralhome.net.


Mrs. Mikich was born March 20, 1916, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Frank and Lena (Koslowski) Spreda. She attended St.
Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.


She attended Central State Teachers College and Business
School in Stevens Point.


She worked at Hardware Mutual Insurance (Sentry Insurance)
until her marriage.


She was married to Lt. Raymond D. Mikich June 12, 1942, in
Dothan, Ala. He died Dec. 30, 2004.


The couple lived in various states during their 62 years of
marriage; Alabama, Georgia, California, Arizona
and
Wisconsin.


She was a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Wausau.


After retiring in 1980, she resided in Eagle River and
Arizona.


Survivors include four daughters, Marianne (Robin) Purciel,
Anaheim Hills, Calif., Gloria (Roland) Christensen, Englewood, Fla., Margaret
Hayhurst, Charlotte, N.C., and Marcia Hagy, Englewood, Fla.; nine grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
