Irma E. Holicek, 99, Stevens Point, died Monday, Nov. 28,
2016, at the Portage County Health Care Center while under the care of Ministry
Hospice.


Private services were held at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in
Stevens Point. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Mrs. Holicek was born April 30, 1917, in Gelsenkirchen,
Germany. Her family moved to the United States in 1929 and settled in
Wauwatosa.


She was married to Paul S. Holicek Feb. 14, 1942, in
Wauwatosa. He died in 1967.


The coupled settled there, and she worked for the Milwaukee
County Infirmary, and the Wauwatosa School system as a cook and school aide
until her retirement.


In 1994, she moved to Waupaca to be
near family, and in 2010 moved to Stevens Point.


She was a member of several church groups and organizations
in Wauwatosa, prior to moving to Waupaca.


Survivors include one son, Paul S. Holicek Jr, Stevens Point;
one grandson, Paul S. (Angelique Gukenberger) Holicek III, Wisconsin Rapids;
and one daughter-in-law, Lyann Holicek, Plover.


She was also preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and
Elizabeth; and one brother, Gus.
