Mary Katherine “Robin” Stratton, 97, Naperville, Ill., a
Stevens Point native, died at her home Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 10, at
Williams-Kampp Funeral Home in Wheaton, Ill.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 10, until the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Nature
Conservancy.

Mrs. Stratton was born June 16, 1919, in Stevens Point, the
youngest of five children of the late Marion and Edward Robertson.

After graduation from high school, she attended the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

She worked as a claims adjuster at Sentry Insurance before
her marriage.

She was married to Roscoe Stratton in 1946. He preceded her
in death.

They raised their family in Elgin, Ill., where she worked
for many years as secretary at Larsen Junior High School.

In 1978, she and her husband built a retirement home in the
hills and woods of Asheville, N.C.

In 2012, she moved to Naperville, Ill., to be closer to her
children.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry and Sandra; one
daughter-in-law, Martha Carroll; 11 stepgrandchildren and many
great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven; and one
son-in-law, Richard Thomas.
