Nov. 23

Stop Hitting Each Other: Police were called to the 2100 block of Church St. at 12:30 AM to break up a disturbance between a 21-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, who were reportedly arguing and hitting each other.

Pokemon Go Home: An 82-year-old woman called police at 3:38 AM to report a suspicious person, a 33-year-old woman, was driving around the intersections of Fourth Ave. and Reserve St. The woman told police she was playing Pokemon Go.

Motorist Assist: Deputies stopped to help a driver with a flat tire near Main St. and Soo Maria Ave. at 5:15 AM.

Suspicious Vehicle: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked outside Subway in Amherst at 11:48 PM. The car belonged to an employee doing prep work for the following day.

Fake $20: An employee of Save A Lot, 3264 Church St., reported someone paid for merchandise with a counterfeit $20 bill at 3:41 PM. About an hour later, an employee of the Dime and Dollar thrift store, which is located next door, also reported receiving a fake $20 bill. The culprit is described only as a white male.

Fake Script: Police arrested a 44-year-old man from the 900 block of Illinois Ave. after he was accused of trying to obtain an opiate prescription by deceit at 7:47 PM.

Hit & Run: Police cited a 24-year-old woman for hit and run, failure to file and accident report and failure to keep her vehicle under control following a crash on the 1100 block of Division St. at 7:27 PM.

Nov. 24

OWI: Police arrested a 23-year-old woman for driving under the influence near Post Rd. and Minnesota Ave. at 12:48 AM. She was pulled over for driving without her lights on. Police also discovered she had an open intoxicant in her vehicle.

Accidental Dial: A cleaning woman on the 1400 block of Sky Line Dr. accidentally hit the 911 button on a company phone, summoning deputies. The woman hit the button by mistake as she was dusting at 12:56 PM.

OWI: A 29-year-old woman was arrested for OWI after she was caught driving near Stanley and Fremont streets without her lights on at 2:57 AM.

Harassment: Police were called to the 400 block of Division St. at 2:29 AM after a caller reported threats and harassment involving several young men between the ages of 16 and 20.

Trespassing: A 44-year-old man was cited for trespassing near Third St. W and County Trunk G in Junction City at 1:09 PM.

Bad Excuse: Deputies stopped a 25-year-old man driving on I-39 at mile marker 169 after a caller reported the car was weaving. The driver claims “newer tired made it difficult to steer.”

Mailbox Fatality: A 70-year-old man reported someone vandalized the mailbox at his Dixon St. home at 7:57 AM.

License Plate Vandalism: A 29-year-old woman called police at 9:15 AM to report someone damaged her license plate, plate frame and a car magnet as it was parked on the 2100 block of Division St.

13-Year-Old Driver: Police conducted a traffic stop on a 13-year-old female driver at 1 AM near Church and Williams streets. The passenger, a 22-year-old man, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting an officer and failure to maintain sex offender registry.

Nov. 25

Missing Money: An 85-year-old patient called police at 5:21 AM to report someone had stolen $400 from her room on the 1800 block of Bluebell Ln.

Battery: A 54-year-old man was arrested on a charge of battery against a 54-year-old woman at 11:30 PM.

Bad Neighbors: Police were called at 8:04 PM to break up a physical altercation between two male neighbors, aged 51 and 26, on the 1900 block of Water St.

Stolen Mail: A 58-year-old woman called police at 7:30 PM to report her mailbox and mail had been stolen from her River View Ave. residence.

Nov. 26

OWI: A 59-year-old man was arrested for his first OWI at 11:42 PM from the intersection of Strongs Ave. and Main St.

Nov. 27

Bad Dudes: Two men were arrested, a 25-year-old man for substantial battery and a 28-year-old man for bail-jumping, following a disturbance on the 800 block of Main St. at 2:10 AM.

Mailbox Fatality: A 57-year-old man called deputies to report someone had damaged the mailbox at his Little Chicago Rd. home at 8:29 AM. Estimated value of the damage is $100.

Money Thief: A 55-year-old woman on the 3200 block of Water St. reported at 3:09 PM that an unknown person entered her home while she was gone and stole about $750 in cash and change.
