Local Student Wins WWOA Scholarship

The Wisconsin Wastewater Operators’ Association has announced that Evan Garski, a student at UW-Stevens Point, has been awarded a WWOA Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university studying civil, environmental, or sanitary engineering or other wastewater related degree programs. Garski is majoring in Geoscience-Environmental Analysis & Geoscience Biogeoscience.
Garski also works for the Mills Farm Fleet as a maintenance associate. He is also DNR-certified as Firefighter Type 2.
Garski has received the UWSP Dean’s Distinguished Achievement Award. He is a 2014 graduate of Rosholt High School.
